Keep Your Motor’s Internal Workings Clean
With The Proper Gas Additive

When used in a 2-stroke outboard motor, today’s gasoline tends to leave heavy carbon deposits on the cylinders, heads and pistons. Eventually, that carbon could end up causing significant, and expensive, damage to your motor.

That’s why it is important to include the proper gasoline additive to your tank when you fill up. For those of you with a Johnson/Evinrude motor, their additive is known as Carbon Guard. The comparable Yamaha product is called Ring Free. Each product has a dosage chart on the label telling you precisely how much to add to your tank.

Carbon build-up is not as serious a problem with 4-stroke motors, however an occasional dose will help keep the fuel system on the 4-stroke cleaner.
