An Easy Way To Catch Those
Spills Despite the current popularity of four stroke outboards, these new motors are outnumbered by probably millions to one. That means there are a great many of us who still need to fill our two-stroke motor oil tanks with TC-W3 oil. That also means there will be plenty of oil spilled into bilges or onto decks during the filling operation. Now, there is a neat, clean and efficient way to prevent those annoying drips and spills from fouling your boat and the water. In our ships store we carry a product called a "Pig Mat". This is a sheet of highly absorbent material that sops up oil spills instantly. Just take a sheet and cut a slit into it so the mat fits over the fill area of the oil tank. When you are done refilling, simply fold up the Pig Mat and stow it in a heavy-duty Zip-Loc bag until the next time you need it. That bag also can be used to stow your oil fill funnel. See Kathy in our ships store for your mat. They cost about a buck. |
